Terms of Service & Software License

Plain-language launch terms for evaluating and using YAAA software, portal accounts, and licensing services.

Legal review notice

These terms are website-ready operational copy, not legal advice. They should be reviewed by qualified counsel before paid production distribution or enterprise contracting.

1. Scope

These terms apply to the YAAA website, client portal, license services, documentation, downloads, and software unless a signed agreement or open-source license says otherwise.

2. License grant

Subject to these terms and any applicable plan limits, YAAA grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use the software on devices you own or control for evaluation or authorized production use.

3. Local-first responsibility

YAAA applets are designed to run locally by default, which gives you more control over private files and workflows. It also means you are responsible for your local environment, configured integrations, credentials, scripts, dependencies, prompts, and outputs. Review automations before running them on important data or systems.

4. Accounts, licensing, and devices

You are responsible for keeping portal credentials and license keys confidential. Licenses may be tied to device fingerprints and device-count limits. You may deactivate retired devices through the portal where available. Do not attempt to bypass activation, rate limits, license checks, or device controls.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use YAAA to violate law, harm systems, evade access controls, infringe rights, process data without authority, or run unsafe automation without appropriate testing and approval. High-risk uses require your own professional review, controls, backups, and monitoring.

6. Third-party services and AI output

Optional AI providers, package registries, APIs, payment processors, and other integrations are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. AI-assisted suggestions can be wrong or incomplete; you must validate generated workflows, code, calculations, and recommendations before relying on them.

7. Intellectual property

YAAA and its licensors retain ownership of the software, website, trademarks, and documentation except for rights expressly granted. You retain ownership of your own local project files and applets, subject to any third-party components or license terms you choose to include.

8. Support and updates

Support, packaged builds, updates, compliance materials, or service-level commitments are available only when included in your plan or written agreement. Downloads should be verified using published checksums or signatures when available.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

YAAA is provided “as is” to the maximum extent permitted by law, without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, YAAA will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption.

10. Termination

Access may be suspended or terminated if you breach these terms, compromise portal security, misuse licensing systems, or create legal/security risk. Upon termination, stop using licensed software and services unless another license permits continued use.
